Dear Congressman, City Authority or Anyone Who Will Listen:

I would like to take a moment to address the issue of my mandatory vaccinations.  First, there is the indignity of the carrier.  Being locked in a cage like some zoo animal is just unacceptable.  I sleep in a regular bed, drink from stemware, and only poo in respectable facilities.  Why should I, a refined and dignified being, have to go through such egregious conditions to be unnecessarily stuck by a needle?

That brings me to my second point.  Just because I walk on four legs, why do you assume I am going to go around biting others?   I am of high moral character and am far too lazy to be unnecessarily aggressive.  So if I were to actually bite someone or another animal, they deserved it.  It’s that simple.

In conclusion, I should not have to be subjected to such degrading conditions as a carrier and have my busy schedule of napping and bird watching interrupted to endure the pain of a shot.  Vaccinations should be a choice and not forced upon upstanding furry citizens.  Please see an end to this great injustice.

Sincerely,

Sid

The only times my last cat, Foody III, acted as if he actually liked me was when we were at the Vet’s office. Only then did he act as if he were a loving, well-behaved pet. Other times, he would ask to be petted until HE was done being petted, at which point he quickly and unexpectedly bit my arm to tell me to quit touching him. I always told him that it was a good thing for him that he was so beautiful, otherwise, he would not be lovable. He was a lovely Siamese/Himalayan. I miss him and am seriously thinking of adopting Foody V. (My son, Josh, has Foody IV).
